APPRENTICE TOOLMAKER

Slieve Foy tool & Die LTD is a precision engineering company specialising in the manufacturing of spare parts for the medical devices industry.

An opportunity has arisen for a Tooling Engineer Apprenticeship. We are currently seeking applications from enthusiastic and hardworking individuals, who are interested in pursuing a trade apprenticeship.

The apprenticeship will be a mixture of workplace and classroom training, upon completion of the programme apprentices will receive a QQI Level 6 Certificate.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· This will be a 4 four-year training programme to build the skills needed to become a competent toolmaker

· Help maintain a clean and orderly workspace

· Excellent communication skills

· Ability to work on your own initiative under guidance

· Flexible to take on new responsibility as the role evolves

REQUIREMENTS:

· Must demonstrate a keen ambition for a career in the area

· Analytic approach to problem solving

· Self-motivated, eager to learn and have a positive attitude

· Applicants must be at least 17 years old

· Have a Leaving Certificate / 5 GCSE’s

SCHEDULE:

· Full-time permanent / Monday-Friday
