We are currently recruiting for an Area Manager to join our team looking after the Belfast area. This is a great opportunity to join a world leading facilities management company.



Working Pattern:
  • 40 hours per week 
  • Monday to Friday

The Role: 
  • To ensure that all staff have completed Induction and appropriate skills-based training
  • Deal with all staff performance, disciplinary issues in line with company procedures
  • To ensure that any client queries are dealt with effectively and quickly ensuring client satisfaction
  • Identify areas of improvement within your business area in relation to productivity
  • Interface with client to complete monthly KPI returns
  • Recruit, train, and manage catering teams
  • Conduct performance reviews/ensure ongoing staff development
  • Manage rotas and staffing levels 
  • Manage budgets and monitor expenditure
  • Control stock, ordering, and waste to achieve cost targets
  • Prepare financial and operational reports for senior management
  • Conduct audits and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to NHS or healthcare standards/governance
  • Respond to feedback and complaints promptly and professionally
  • Liaise with dietitians, clinicians, and senior managers
  • Represent catering services at internal and external meetings​​​​​​​

The Person: 
  • Full driving licence
  • IT skills - Use of Online HR, Pay Roll and Audits
  • Experience in Hospitality Management or related field
  • Food Safety Level 3 or equivalent certification
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, nutrition, and special diets
  • Proven experience managing multi-site catering operations, ideally in healthcare
  • Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work instructions and communicating with customers on a day-to-day basis. The post also requires proficient skills in computer literacy. ​​​​​​​
