What You’ll Do:
  • Design, organise, and facilitate arts and crafts activities that inspire creativity and enjoyment among residents.

  • Develop person-centred, creative programmes that bring joy, purpose, and self-expression.

  • Set up and maintain safe, inspiring activity spaces equipped for arts and crafts.

  • Encourage residents to explore different materials and techniques, from painting and pottery to knitting and seasonal crafts.

  • Build meaningful relationships with residents and the local community through shared creative experiences.

  • Maintain records of participation and progress in activities.

  • Promote and practise the ethos of person-centred, creative care.

What We’re Looking For:
  • FETAC/QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or a related field.

  • Training in Care of the Older Person, Dementia Care, or Palliative Care is a plus (or willingness to complete).

  • Valid certifications: CPR, Infection Control, Manual Handling, Safeguarding (training available if needed).

  • Experience working in elderly care within a residential setting.

  • Strong skills in arts and crafts such as painting, drawing, knitting, pottery, or creative design.

  • A warm, engaging personality with a passion for creativity and inclusion.

  • Full Irish Driver’s Licence required.
