Assessment Officer, Of Need Integrated Health Services Area

Under the direction of the AON Manager, the Assessment of Need Officer will be responsible for the processes and duties assigned to him/her within the Regional Assessment of Need Team. The post holder will:

• Ensure HSE compliance with the Disability Act 2005 and subsequent regulations.
• Ensure that an independent, comprehensive, person centred assessment of the health needs of an applicant is carried out under the criteria outlined in the Disability Act 2005 and the Education for Persons with Special Educational Needs Act 2004.
• Manage and support the delivery of the Assessment of Need process, as required.
• Contribute to the development of processes and procedures to ensure timely, efficient delivery of Regional Assessment of Needs services.
• Cooperate with and contribute to service improvement in areas related to the post, as required
• Support and deliver all aspects of Assessment of Need processes.
