Asset Data Coordinator
The Role:
The Asset Management and Sustainability area is responsible for the development of asset policies, strategies and plans to determine the significant investment required into Ireland’s infrastructure. The area drives investment and the Sustainability and Innovation agenda for the organisation and leads on Environmental Regulation and Compliance activities, ensuring the quality of water and wastewater is continuously monitored. The Asset Management function is responsible for strategic planning, prioritisation, and development of Uisce Éireann’s Capital Works pipeline. The function plays a key role in promoting collaboration and co-ordination of activities across the three asset functions as well as providing environmental assessment and management expertise across Uisce Éireann
The Asset Intelligence team’s purpose is to connect their customers with quality asset data to drive insights and support decision making. The scope of the team's responsibility covers 4 main areas: Asset Data Insights and Stakeholder Management, Asset Data Management, Asset Data Governance and Special Projects
Reporting to the Asset Data Analyst - GIS Architecture, the Asset Data Coordinator will contribute to the collection, processing and management of asset data within Uisce Éireann’s asset management systems
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that asset databases in the relevant systems are maintained and are fit for purpose.
- Ensure that processing and provision of asset information aligns with the needs of the Asset Management and Operations teams and is compliant with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Efficiently track and manage asset and location data throughout the asset lifecycle.
- Support the Asset Data Analyst in providing asset data quality assurance and updates in response to changes made or identified in the field.
- Assist in the setting of operational performance indicators relating to asset data.
- Ensure that any required reporting is complete, timely and accurate, and that content is appropriate to users’ needs.
- Assist in the formulation and implementation of standards and best practices relating to asset information management and provision, in accordance with, and supportive of, regulatory requirements and company objectives.
- Where appropriate, provide guidance and assistance relating to asset data management to other team members and colleagues
- Assist in problem solving based on intelligence gathered from both internal and external systems
- Liaise with the owners of the assets in relation to issues concerning asset data quality and completeness
- Contribute to achieving the objectives and targets of the Asset Management Business plans
- Raise risks and issues as appropriate to the Asset Data Analyst
- Co-ordinate tasks and schedules as appropriate
- Participate in ongoing projects as required
- Keeping up to date with best practice
General Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders across the UÉ business
- Responsible for promoting and delivering health and safety commitments across UÉ and its supply chain, reinforcing positive behaviours and delivering health and safety objectives and requirements to the highest industry standards.
- Support the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, driving results required within the Directorate and supporting organisation-wide objectives.
- Other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Relevant third level qualification and or accreditation is desirable
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience in the water, utilities or similar industries is desirable and or relevant experience
- Experience with GIS software (ESRI software suite) including ArcMap and AGOL is essential
- Practical experience with ArcMap Model Builder or any data modelling platform (e.g., FME) is desirable
- Proactive, with ability to work on own initiative and with others to ensure success in the performance of a team
- Proven effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise and remain focused
- Proven ability to create and develop good working relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals, coupled with the ability to gain commitment from others
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey messages in a clear and concise manner
- Strong Computer skills with a proficient working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Ability to set up ongoing processes and procedures to collect and review information
- Flexible with regard to working in a changing environment and the ability to adjust to new work structures, processes and requirements as necessary
- Proactively identifying new areas of learning and using newly gained knowledge and skills on the job
- Striving for quality and ensuring consistent high standards of work

Please note the Market reference point (midpoint) of the range is generally the upper end of the offer where someone is deemed to be fully competent to take on the duties of the role, and leaves room for the employee to progress through the pay range as their experience develops further.
Grade and SalaryF Grade: (€39,026 - €58,538*)
