Assistant Economic Development Officer

Ards & North Borough CouncilSignal Centre, Bangor, DownSO1, SCP 24 - 26, £34,314 - £36,124 per annum
The purpose of the post is to assist the Economic Development Officer in the implementation and evaluation of the Council’s Economic Development portfolio as agreed by the Directorate. The post holder will also provide functions and services to support and develop economic development in the Ards and North Down Borough Council area on behalf of the Service Unit and assist with the promotion of commercial, industrial and economic development. He/she will also be required to represent the Council’s interests in wider networks.

  • A valid driving licence with access to a form of transport that will allow fulfilment of the duties of the post or have access to a suitable form of transport which will enable the post holder to meet the requirements of the post.
  • Able to work evenings and weekends and public holidays as required and adopt a flexible approach to working hours in line with operational requirements.
  • A reserve list may be maintained from this recruitment exercise.
