Job Title: Assistant Group Quality Manager

Site Location: Denroy Plastics Ltd, 9-11 Balloo Drive and Denman,

Hours of Work: Monday – Thursday 0800 hrs – 1700 hrs and Friday 0800 hrs – 1330 hrs.
Job Role:
The Assistant Group Quality Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The role requires knowledge and experience in quality assurance , risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives to support safe, compliant, and efficient design, manufacturing, delivery and post-delivery activities.

Job Role:
The Assistant Group Quality Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The role requires knowledge and experience in quality assurance , risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives to support safe, compliant, and efficient design, manufacturing, delivery and post-delivery activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the organization QMS in accordance with EN 9100:2018, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 13485:2016.
- Ensure compliance with customer, industry, and statutory quality requirements.
- Lead internal and external audits, certification audits, customer audits, and regulatory assessments.
- Oversee inspection, testing, and verification activities.
- Manage NCRs, CAPAs, and root cause investigations.
- Manage supplier quality performance and development.
- Lead and develop the quality team.
- Support the Group Quality Manger in strategic planning and target settin
- Ensure compliance with regulations such as REACH, Prop 65 , EU MDR, and customer-s specific requirements as applicable.
- Support regulatory inspections and customer assessments.
- UK Export Control and licensing
- Lead and develop the quality team through coaching, training, and performance management.
- Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders.
- Promote employee engagement and accountability for quality objectives.
- Manage departmental budgets and resource planning where applicable.
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline.
- Professional registration working towards Charted Engineer
- Master’s degree in engineering.
- 5 + years of Injection Moulding experience including tool design, manufacture
- and finishing processes.
- Experience of high-performance thermoplastic materials (PEEK, PAEK, PPS)
- Experience of polymer testing and inspection
- Participation in internal, supplier, and third-party audits.
- Experience of working directly with prime aerospace customers and resolving quality concerns.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Root Cause Analysis methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone)
- Advanced Product Quality Planning
- Participation in new product introduction
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Extensive knowledge of FAIRS, PPAP, First Part Qualification processes
- Knowledge of customer and 3rd party portals, such as Net-inspect.
