We are recruiting for a Assistant Management Accountant to join our team.

The Role:

Management accounts
  • Supporting the preparation of timely and reliable management accounts and departmental reports monthly for all areas of responsibility.
  • Establishing the standard costs of both internal services/ products and products sold externally.
  • Updating/maintaining standard costs of products and services based on current costs on a timely basis.
  • Analyzing Labour costs data and assessing rates used in current costs and in overhead assessments.
  • Analyzing actual versus standard costs monthly (Variance Analysis) including reporting of factors affecting pricing and gross margin contribution.
  •  Preparation of month end Inventory reports for management review.
  • Review and maintenance of Balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.
  • Supporting Sales and Purchasing activities within the business.
  • Ensure all inter company reconciliations are maintained monthly.
Other Finance duties
  • Completion of year end audit files and liaising with external auditors.
  • Support the drive for continuous improvement of financial controls and processes.
  • Provide financial support to other departments as required.
  • Ad-hoc duties as and when they arise.
General
  • Undertake all duties in line with General Data Protection and maintain utmost level of confidentiality.
  • Ensure that you treat those with whom they come into contact in a courteous and respectful manner in accordance with the Dignity at Work Procedure.

The Requirements:
  • 5 GCSE’s Grade C or above including Maths and English or equivalent, or
  • 3 A level Grade C and above or equivalent or 
  • IATI Qualified (or Equivalent)
  • Demonstrate experience of all Microsoft packages including Excel skills.
  • 3 – 4 years’ experience in assisting with Management accounts.
  • Use of an integrated accountancy system.
  • Person who can establish themselves quickly within a team environment and can cover other roles within the team as required.
