What You’ll Do
- Lead & Inspire: Supervise and coordinate the activities of packaging line operators, ensuring training, development, and a strong culture of safety and performance.
- Drive Quality: Ensure all packaging operations comply with GMP, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and relevant industry regulations.
- Operational Output: Monitor schedules, manage resources, and troubleshoot operational issues to meet customer demands and deadlines.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to production orders, materials usage, batch records, quality and training.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality and safety
Essential Criteria
- 4+ years’ experience in a highly regulated manufacturing or packaging environment, with a minimum of 1 year providing supervisory support — such as leading shifts, overseeing tasks, or deputising for a supervisor/manager
- Experience in motivating teams.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent planning and resource management abilities.
- Strong working knowledge of GMP environments and health and safety requirements.
- Experience in training and developing less experienced team members.
- Proficient in all Microsoft packages (Excel, Word, Publisher etc)
- Flexibility to meet the needs of the business, such as changing shift pattern or providing cover in other areas/departments when required.
Desirable
- Experience in pharmaceutical industry
- Working knowledge of relevant IT systems and software
- Experience in controlling GMP documentation and processes.
- Experience in use of Root Cause Analysis tools.
