The Assistant Principal Officer will be a member of Cork ETB’s Senior Management Team and will actively contribute to the successful achievement of the organisation’s strategic objectives. They shall be responsible for the management of Corporate functions of the Board and all its enterprises, to plan and implement appropriate controls and management systems in accordance with the Education and Training Boards Act, 2013 and other relevant Acts and Regulations, and in accordance with Cork Education and Training Board (CETB) policies and procedures.
The Assistant Principal Officer will be responsible for all aspects of the functions of the Corporate Services department, including the management and development of the staff in the department, organisation of programme of work and the provision of guidance, support and advice to schools, centres, services and relevant stakeholders across the range of areas outlined below. Additionally the Assistant Principal Officer will be expected to lead the development of policies, procedures and processes, and oversee compliance within the organisation across the functional areas of the department.

- Corporate Governance
- Legislative and Regulatory Compliance
- Insurance and Legal
- Board and Executive support
- Communications and Marketing
- Corporate Training
- Strategic Reporting
The position is a Specific Purpose Whole-time and pensionable, contract. This is initially a two-year secondment cover position.
