Essential Requirements
- A third level educational qualification, at least level 7 and/or equivalent on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ), in a relevant discipline(s)
- commensurate with this role and/or a professional qualification in an area of relevance to the role (e.g., governance, legal, public administration);
- Possess experience at an appropriate level of seniority in a relevant role.
Desirable Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of public sector management, corporate governance practices and its
- applicability to an organisation like GRETB;
- Excellent leadership skills with a proven ability to lead, motivate and develop staff;
- Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with
- the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels;
- Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to demonstrate the ability to manage resources effectively;
- ·Comprehensive knowledge and experience of risk management and the implementation of internal controls;·
- Excellent professional judgement, problem-solving, analytical and decision making skills;
- Have a strong track record in managing multiple agendas, projects, tasks and assignments to a high level of attention to detail within agreed timelines;
- Excellent ICT and administration skills.

- A full driving licence and access to a car and be willing to work flexibly outside of normal working hours as required.
- Location of Post: The successful applicant will be located in GRETB Headquarters, Athenry, Co. Galway.
- The post holder may be moved to another area of the organisation if required.
- Hours of Work: 35 hours per week. Hours may be adjusted from time to time under relevant Public Sector Agreements.
