We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Assistant Psychologist to join our team in Enable Ireland CDNT, Blackberry Park, Dock Road, Limerick

Contract Type: 2 Year Fixed Term Contract

Contract Hours: 35 Hours per week

Salary Scale: €29,247pro rata per annum. This pay scale is subject to increases in 2025 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations

Annual Leave Entitlement: 30 day pro rata per annum

Overview of the Post:

To work under the clinical supervision of a Psychologist in providing psychological support, including therapeutic support and formal assessments, to children and young people (aged 0 – 18 years) attending our service.

The successful candidate will have

Essential Criteria:

· A Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) accredited qualification at not less than a Level 8 at 2.1 honours grade on the QQI qualifications framework in which psychology was a major subject.

OR

· A Level 8 honours degree in another subject (2.1 or higher) together with an accredited conversion qualification at a minimum of (2.1) as conferring eligibility for graduate membership of the Psychological Society of Ireland

· Previous voluntary or paid experience working with children

Desirable Criteria:

· Manual Handling training

· Children First Training

· Demonstrated evaluation and research skills

· Relevant training in areas specific to therapeutic interventions for children 0–18 years

· Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience

· Master’s degree in a relevant area of Psychology
