Essential Qualifications and Skills

Candidates must:

• Have the requisite knowledge, skills, and competencies to carry out the role to a high standard.

• Be capable and competent of fulfilling the role to a high standard.

• Have obtained at least Grade O6 (formerly D3) in five subjects in the Leaving Certificate Examination (higher, ordinary, applied, or vocational programmes) or equivalent, or have passed an examination at the appropriate level within the QQI qualifications framework which can be assessed as being comparable to Leaving Certificate standard or equivalent or higher, or have appropriate relevant experience which encompasses equivalent skills and expertise.

Desirable Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience of working in an Innovation or Enterprise Hub.

• Knowledge of MedTech & Digital Tech Start-up Sectors.

• Experience of coordinating Marketing & Social Media Campaigns.

Overview of the Role

The Innovation Hub Galway provides a range of Incubation Space and a portfolio of Business Development Supports for Start-Up Companies. It also provides several Entrepreneurship Development Programmes such as New Frontiers and a dedicated Entrepreneurship Programme for Females called Empower and Empower Cumasú. iHub Galway is one of four Innovation Hubs across ATU.

Duties

Specific duties to the role include:

• Design, oversee, and implement Marketing & Social Media Campaigns for iHubs and Entrepreneurship Programmes.

• Promote iHubs and Programmes Success Stories and implement Case Studies to drive new client and participant pipelines.

• Coordinate a rolling 3-monthly calendar of events to add technical, commercial, and research value to iHub clients.

• Support Student Entrepreneurship engagement and growth across ATU.

• Liaise with Programme Managers to support the successful scheduling and implementation of Entrepreneurship Programmes.

• Co-ordinate front office and act as the main point of contact for client companies and new visitors to the iHub.

• Administration of accounts and client documentation.

Salary

Salary Scale: €38,599 – €54,911

• Candidates external to the sector may be appointed up to the 3rd Point (€42,740) of the Salary Scale in accordance with University Policy.
