Assistant Staff Officer, Regional Quality & Patient Safety
The Quality & Patient Safety Function supports the implementation of the quality & safety agenda across a broad range of services that include Acute, Primary Care, Social Inclusion, Older Persons, Disabilities, Mental Health and Health & Wellbeing Services. The department supports and develops structures, systems and processes for reporting on the following functions:
· Quality, Risk and Incident Management
· Occupational Health & Safety
· Safeguarding & Protection
· Assisted Decision Making
· Infection Prevention & Control and Antimicrobial stewardship
· Service Feedback & Complaints Management
· Patient and Service User Engagement
The department also ensures correct application of current quality, safety and risk management policies and legislation across the HSE South West Region.
