About the Role:
We are inviting applications for a position of Associate in the Real Estate Finance Unit in Capital Markets. The position will report to an Associate Director working in a dynamic and high performing unit. The position will be within a team primarily engaged in transaction origination and relationship management of a designated portfolio of connections.
The position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a small team of real estate lending professionals supporting critical activities within the Real Estate Finance Unit. The successful applicant will be required to assist their Associate Director in managing a diverse portfolio of connections including some of the Bank’s largest real estate exposures, either originating or managing those transactions when in place, coaching and developing their team, and assisting the Real Estate Finance Unit in maintaining a strong market presence along with a very well managed loan portfolio.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Responsible for the successful implementation of approved strategy to grow and develop, as well as professionally manage AIB’s lending activity in the Real Estate Finance market.
- Responsible for origination standards, credit risk quality, and ongoing management of what will be a dynamic portfolio of connections.
- Maintain appropriate portfolio risk management, ensuring that the loan portfolio complies with AIB’s risk framework and policies.
- Be a team member fostering and maintaining a culture of high performance and strong customer focus, along with the highest credit professionalism standards.
