Description

We are seeking an audit professional to join our growing team. This role will help shape our audit quality through supporting our audit teams to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development/updating of audit framework and policies & procedures, including ISQM1
  • Provide training in audit and related matters
  • Technical support
  • Manage & monitor Engagement Quality Review process
  • Root cause analysis support
  • Develop & implement training plan in response to issues identified through monitoring activities and technical queries
  • Issue regular updates and signpost changes in standards and regulations
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and prepare annual return, notification of changes, RI applications and other matters
  • Maintenance of registers including: audit clients, business interests, reporting to external parties
  • Manage annual declaration process
  • Maintain technical library
  • Complete PII insurance form & liaise with insurers
  • Support other areas of the team as required

Key Requirements

  • Member of a Recognised Accountancy Body
  • Audit qualification
  • Minimum 3 years' post qualification experience in audit

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Capable of working on own initiative; take ownership of the role and be capable of making key decisions while also actively collaborating within the team

  • Excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills
