About the Role:
We are seeking applications from ambitious professionals who are keen to pursue an opportunity as an Auditor in GIA working closely with an Audit Manager. Direct experience in financial services or audit would be an advantage but is not a specific requirement.
Group Internal Audit (GIA) is not your typical audit function. We’re on an ambitious journey to create the best function we can for AIB and our people. Through our audit charter, we operate independently as the third line of defence to provide assurance to our stakeholders on the adequacy and effectiveness of AIB’s governance, risk management and internal control environment.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Assist the team in constructing the annual risk-based audit plan;
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of GIA’s audit methodology standards, processes and AIB organisational structures;
- Support the team lead in the execution of audits from beginning to end including definition of audit scope, test strategy, walkthroughs, tests of detail, sampling, summary of issues and final report;
- Support the team lead in the assessment of business actions within the agreed timelines;
- Review and interpret processed data to identify trends and investigate exceptional items;
- Actively develop and maintain positive working relationships with your team, management and the business; and
- Exciting opportunities to get involved in working groups across the department.

Please note: The Minimum Education requirements for entry to AIB is 5 passes in the Leaving Certificate (or equivalent), to include a pass in English and Maths. These must be achieved at either Ordinary or Honours Level. Confirmation of this will be sought if successful for the role.
