Own PTSB’s enterprise automation frameworks, patterns and tooling guardrails. Ensure automation is scalable, stable and effectively integrated into CI/CD. Govern automation quality and reduce fragmentation across platforms and MSP partners.

Role Scope (Enterprise Automation Governance)

Scope of this role is enterprise-wide across Group Technology and includes:

• Enterprise automation frameworks and reusable assets

• CI/CD testing integration and automation reporting 

• Tooling rationalisation and lifecycle management 

• Collaboration across Engineering, DevOps, Architecture and MSP 

This role is accountable for defining automation direction and guardrails across the organisation, but does not own sprint execution, delivery prioritisation, or direct automation build within platform squads.

Responsibilities:

Functional Strategy & Delivery

  • Maintain automation frameworks and shared libraries
  • Define automation quality metrics and stability thresholds 
  • Ensure meaningful CI/CD automation outputs 
  • Promote reuse and consistency across platform 

Risk Management & Control

  • Identify systemic automation fragility or toolchain gaps
  • Govern tool selection and rationalisation
  • Ensure automation evidence supports confident decision‑making

Lead an Inspiring Culture

  • Promote practical, risk‑aligned automation approaches
  • Support capability uplift across teams 
  • Encourage high‑value, standardised automation practices 

Requirements:

Essential

  • NFQ Level 6+ or equivalent engineering/automation experience 
  • Strong background in automation architecture, framework design and reusable asset development
  • Experience integrating automated testing into enterprise CI/CD pipelines
  • Proven ability to influence engineering, architecture and delivery stakeholders across multi‑team and multi‑vendor environments

Desired

  • Experience rationalising enterprise toolchains
  • Experience in regulated or complex digital/legacy environments
  • Familiarity with cloud‑aligned testing and modern DevOps practices

This is a Permanent hybrid position, based, Dublin (Hybrid option available within the Republic of Ireland only).
