AYA Cancer MDM Coordinator & Data Manager

Purpose of the role

The post holder will play a key coordination role within the Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Service, supporting multidisciplinary working, high-quality data management, and service development during a period of significant systemic change. The role includes responsibility for the organisation and effective running of multidisciplinary meetings, contributing to clinical and service-related data processes, and provision of administrative and analytical support to the AYA team.

A strong emphasis will be placed on ensuring robust data governance, accuracy, and usability of information to support clinical decision-making, service evaluation, and future planning as the service transitions towards a new facility and evolving models of care.

Essential Criteria

  • Achieved Leaving Cert or QQI level 6 or equivalent comparable qualifications
  • Experience in healthcare, informatics, or data management related field
  • Experience of mining, analysing and reporting on data sets
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Understanding of GDPR, particularly when dealing with sensitive data
  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Willingness to undertake training to carry out the job
