Join us as a BAM Sales Manager

The purpose of the role is to manage and lead a high performing Business Account Management (BAM) team to drive excellent customer relationships, revenue growth and retention of the existing Three SME customer base across all SME product lines.


What else it involves:

  • Work with the SME Retention & In Life Manager to set, manage and exceed individual and team targets for the Business
  • Account Management team in line with company objectives.
  • Planning, organizing, and implementing relevant sales strategies to achieve business goals Vs a dynamic set of targets
  • Provide input and support the development and execution of the overall SME strategy
  • Work with our 3CS/IOT department to drive business growth and exceed yearly budget numbers.
  • Lead by example to develop and best in class partnership approach with our customer base and act as a point of contact for any complaints that may arise.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with larger customers, engaging directly with C-level executives to understand their business goals and drive tailored solutions with the assigned account manager.
  • Ensure sales commission models are compliant and aligned to the business strategy
  • Responsible for increasing and maintaining overall productivity of the Business Account Management sales teams through salesforce reporting & Insights.
  • Create a data-centric approach to managing the customer base with particular emphasis on re-signing/growing our customers in an efficient and timely manner
  • Recruit, lead, challenge and develop a team of Business Account Managers to maintain a high-performance culture
  • Manage the day to day operations of the team (including customer escalations, absenteeism, underperformance,hybrid working policies & holidays)
  • Build a range of processes to support the team including the use of new technologies to support account managers in their role
  • Drive customer satisfaction and work with colleagues in Business Care to continuously enhance the customer experience
  • Embed a high performance coaching culture within your team
  • Work with L&D to provide a best-in-class approach to on-going benchmarking and training
  • Collaborate with the Marketing, Product and Base Management teams to feedback any market or competitor
  • Intelligence and suggest changes to product offerings / messages where appropriate.
  • Develop action plans to enhance employee engagement & satisfaction
  • Conduct regular sales meetings and documented 121s with each team member
  • Report daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly on team progress against target

The skills we are looking for:

  • 5 years sales experience with a minimum of 3 years sales management experience required
  • Previous experience working with large medium/enterprise customers essential
  • Previous people management experience which should include setting objectives, coaching for performance, giving feedback & performance mangagment
  • Ability to clearly demonstrate achievement of results in previous roles including the obstacles that were overcome.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Excellent commercial awareness and business acumen
  • Sales planning skills
  • A proven ability to network and build excellent relationships at a c - suite level both internally and externally
  • Proactive individual who will work on his/her initiative
  • Excellent coaching skills
  • Energy and maturity to drive inter-departmental teams to deliver on project goals
  • Tenacity and creative thinking
  • Results based with a focus on customers
  • Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster relationships at all levels within the business.
  • Change advocate - with a capability to manage a team through continuous improvement with changing resource needs
