Location/Office Policy: Molesworth 3 days /Hybrid

What is the Role:

We are looking for a proactive and collaborativePropositions Design Specialistto support the development of compelling, customer-focused propositions within our Customer Strategy and Propositions team in the Chief Customer Office (CCO). Working closely with the Propositions Design Managerand colleagues in Retail, Capital Markets & UK you will help shape new ideas from initial insight through to early-stage feasibility, using Design Thinking techniques and contributing to the Desirable, Feasible, Viable (DFV) model. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in proposition design and innovation within a dynamic and customer-centric environment. 

Key accountabilities:

  • Support the design and development of new and enhanced customer propositions through research, analysis, and collaborative working sessions. 
  • Assist with the preparation and facilitation of Design Thinking workshops, ideation sessions, and customer journey mapping activities. 
  • Conduct desktop research, market scans, and competitor analysis to inform proposition development. 
  • Help build early prototypes, mock-ups, and customer testing materials to bring ideas to life and gather feedback. 
  • Analyse customer and business insight to identify opportunities, pain points, and value drivers. 
  • Document proposition concepts, value propositions, and customer journeys with clarity and attention to detail. 
  • Assist in preparing presentations, visuals, and business cases for internal communication and stakeholder alignment. 
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. product, marketing, digital, operations) to coordinate inputs and align on deliverables. 
  • Stay up to date with innovation trends, customer behaviour, and emerging technologies relevant to retail banking. 

What you will bring:

  • 2–3 years of experience in a customer experience, service design, innovation, marketing, or product-related role – ideally in financial services or a related customer-facing industry. 
  • Exposure to Design Thinking or similar user-centred design methodologies, with an understanding of key tools and practices. 
  • Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills, with a passion for solving real customer problems. 
  • Confident communicator and team player, able to collaborate across functions and levels. 
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with a learning mindset. 
  • Basic familiarity with digital tools such as Miro, Figma, or similar design and collaboration platforms is a plus. 
  • Ability to present ideas clearly, both visually and verbally, to varied audiences. 
  • Enthusiastic about customer-centric innovation and eager to grow within a propositions or service design career path.
