Bar Tenders/Mixologists

Wild Thyme Restaurant is seeking to recruit friendly, energetic, experienced Bar Tenders and Mixologists to join our team with full & part-time roles available.

Responsibilities and duties will include:

  • Greeting customers in a friendly fashion and welcoming them to the Restaurant.
  • Making drinks and preparing cocktails in a timely manner.
  • Preparing garnishes for drinks.
  • Ensuring company standard operating procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Processing payments as soon as possible.
  • Bringing drinks to a customer’s table.
  • Continually replenish stock and clean the bar.
  • Changing of kegs.
  • Wash and stack glassware correctly.
  • Effectively dealing with customer queries and complaints.
  • Report any problems directly to the Manager.

Basic Requirements:

  • 18 years or over
  • Ability to communicate well and understand the English language to a high standard
  • A good knowledge of Beers, Wine, Spirits, Cocktails and common drink recipes.
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar role

Working hours: Full-time working week from Wednesday to Sunday.

Job Title – Bar Manager

A full-time working week from Wednesday to Sunday.

Main Duties/Tasks:

  • Overseeing the daily operation of the Saddle Bar including scheduling rosters, end of day reports, lodgements, orders, and monthly stocktakes.
  • To train, roster, lead and motivate the team to optimise customer engagement, ensuring all visitors experience an authentic taste.
  • A team builder and team player who empowers and coaches the team to deliver excellent service standards at all times.
  • Work with the General Manager to deliver a first-class service at all times.
  • Ensure statutory and best practice compliance for all Food & Beverage in the Saddle Bar.
  • Manage & oversee Food & Beverage stocks, till tabs, transfer sheets, reconciliation & waste logs.
  • Perform any additional duties that may be assigned by the General Manager as this role evolves.
  • Working hours will be dependent upon business requirements.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience is required in a similar role in a 4 or 5-star background
  • Extensive knowledge of Food and Beverage (including wine)
  • Excellent Customer Service
  • Excellent Communication, Organisational and Computer Skills
  • Management Soft Skills, Leadership and Delegation skills
  • Extensive experience in F&B staff training, knowledge and skills, grooming, customer service and service etiquette
  • Fire, Health and Safety training/awareness
  • Ability to work under pressure & flexibility essential.
