About your role:

We’re looking for a Billing & Contracts Team Lead to take ownership of ensuring the accuracy of our large Gas customers as well as maintaining and onboarding our Wind and Solar customer portfolio. We’re looking for a quick learner with the ability to quickly gain an in-depth understanding of the gas and renewable power markets, of the individual contracts for both of these areas as well as detailed knowledge of the Energy Trading Risk Management system used in billing. 

This is a 9 month fixed term contract.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• You’ll have ownership of new gas contracts on the Allegro system, collaborating closely with Front Office to ensure that contract terms are understood
• Generation of monthly gas billing for large gas customers, incorporating detailed review & checking of data prior to billing
• Partner with the contracts team to ensure smooth onboarding of renewable contracts
• Preparation of monthly accruals & revenue reports, liaising with the Margin Team to ensure that the revenue is accurately recorded at key reporting periods
• incorporating the development of new/additional reports & customer site visits
• Manage and develop two direct reports

• Demonstrated background in similar finance/numerate role
• Extensive knowledge of operational activities and accounting methodologies
• Knowledge and understanding of energy market rules & regulations
• Familiar with billing systems
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with team and wider business
• Demonstrated analytical problem solving skills
• Strong attention to detail
