Job Specific Duties

Almac Sciences Ireland are currently recruiting for talented Analytical Team Leader to join their Biopharma team.

The post holder will lead a team of scientists to develop physico-chemical methods and perform phase-appropriate validation, on behalf of external clients, to support cGMP release testing and stability studies of Biologic Intermediates, Drug Substances, and Drug Products.

The attributes include, but are not limited to, determination of size, purity, charge, identity, product-related substances, and process-related impurities by various analytical techniques including chromatography, electrophoresis, and molecular biology.

The Biopharma Team Leader will provide technical leadership, management and coaching for operational analytical teams, enabling the delivery of complex projects.

Candidate Specification

Essential Criteria

· Degree (or equivalent) in an Analytical/Chemistry related discipline OR Higher-Level Qualification in relevant discipline and significant industry experience, may be considered in Lieu of Degree Qualification

· Previous relevant industry experience

· Previous experience in a GMP/GLP environment

· Experience in the performance management of teams

· Up-to-date knowledge of regulatory guidelines relevant to drug development

Desirable Criteria

· Postgraduate level qualification (or equivalent) in a related discipline

· Experience in method development and/or validation

· Experience leading investigations and root cause analysis
