Breakfast Chef Assistant

Breakfast Assistant - 4* Grand Hotel, Malahide

Under the management of FBD Hotels & Resorts, the 4-star Grand Hotel Malahide is currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Part-Time Breakfast Assistant to join our Restaurant team.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a 3-star or 4-star hotel environment. A strong focus on guest service, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting are essential.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, along with a proven ability to support, motivate, and work effectively as part of a team.

Please note: This position requires early morning starts, so flexibility and reliability are essential.

Responsibilities will include:

• Carry out, to the best of your ability, all reasonable duties requested by the Head Chef or Senior Kitchen Staff
• Assist the Chef with breakfast preparation and food production
• Prepare and replenish items for the breakfast buffet
• Meet and greet guests in a friendly and professional manner during breakfast service
• Ensure hot food plates are pre-heated and service-ready
• Maintain the breakfast buffet area in a clean, tidy, and well-presented condition at all times
• Monitor food levels and ensure timely replenishment
• Follow all HACCP and food safety procedures
• Maintain a high level of personal hygiene and professional appearance at all times
• Assist with cleaning duties, including kitchen equipment and food preparation areas
• Ensure proper storage of food items in line with health and safety regulations
• Support the team in maintaining high service standards and guest satisfaction

Requirements for the role:

2 years' experience in a similar position in a 3* or 4* Hotel

Ability to be in Malahide for early start

Excellent communication skills

Pleasant demeanour

Excellent interpersonal skills
