We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Breakfast Pastry Chef to join our kitchen team.

As Breakfast Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting a high-quality selection of breakfast pastries, baked goods and plated fruit offerings for hotel guests. You will take pride in ensuring every item is fresh, visually appealing and consistently presented to the highest standard.

This role involves 5am starts, as such a car and driving license is essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, bake and present a range of breakfast pastries, breads, muffins, scones and other baked goods

• Prepare fresh fruit platters, fruit salads and individually plated fruit offerings to a high presentation standard

• Ensure pastry and fruit displays are fully stocked, fresh and attractively presented throughout breakfast service

• Maintain consistency in food quality, portion control and presentation

• Assist with preparation of desserts, pastries and other items for additional hotel services as required

• Adhere to all food safety, hygiene and HACCP procedures

• Assist with ordering, stock rotation and inventory management

• Ensure the pastry and preparation areas are clean, organised and ready for service

• Work closely with the Breakfast Chef and wider kitchen team to support a smooth breakfast operation

What we are looking for

• Previous experience in a pastry, bakery, breakfast or similar kitchen role

• Experience preparing fruit displays and plated fruit offerings is desirable

• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent attention to detail and pride in presentation

• Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills

• Flexibility to work early morning shifts, weekends and public holidays
