A permanent vacancy currently exists within Mid and East Antrim Borough Council for the following posts and applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates:-
Building Control Officer
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: Scale PO1, SCP 29 - 32 Currently £39,862 – £42,839
Location: This post is based in Carrickfergus Civic Centre the location may be subject to review as part of the review of services.
Main Purpose of Job:
Work as part of the Building Control Team to fulfil the Council’s statutory duties regarding the administration and enforcement of Building Regulations and allied legislation and to provide an efficient, effective, economic and equitable service.
Assist in the delivery of corporate fire risk assessments and disability audits as directed.
Ensure that all responsibilities are carried out in an effective and timely manner to meet organisational objectives.

The shortlisting panel will base shortlisting decisions on the information contained within the Essential Criteria narrative sections of the application form. It is the applicant’s responsibility to provide sufficient relevant information including dates in this section of the form for each criteria.
