Building Regulation Technician

A permanent vacancy currently exists within Mid and East Antrim Borough Council for the following posts and applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates:-

Building Regulation Technician
37 hours per week
SO1, SCP 25-27, Currently £36,363 - £38,220 pro rata. 
Location: The location of this post will be in Museum and Civic Centre, Carrickfergus but requirements of the post may result in the postholder having to work in locations across the Borough. All premises are wheelchair accessible and there are accessible toilets.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
Work as part of the Building Control Section to fulfil the Council’s statutory duties regarding the administration and enforcement of Building Regulations and allied legislation in relation to:-
Postal addresses and development naming
Building notice, domestic regularisation and property certificate applications
Vacant property inspections
Energy Performance of Buildings (EPB) legislation.

The shortlisting panel will base shortlisting decisions on the information contained within the Essential Criteria narrative sections of the application form.
