Your Role:

 Business Banking Products are a key driver of PTSB¿s strategy to diversify income and grow our balance sheet. We are focused on meeting the unique needs of our Business Customers, from supporting their day-to-date banking needs, managing their cash flow, funding new ventures, financing new equipment, to protecting their income. The successful candidate will have a leadership role on the Business Banking Transformation Programme, delivering the foundational capabilities, operational efficiencies, E2E digital lending journeys and new products & propositions to enable PTSB to become the Best Business Bank. Experience in Product Management, Change Management or Business Banking is essential.

Your Responsibilities: 

  • Lead Regular and timely monitoring of Business Banking Product performance against agreed volume and income targets including, but not limited to, market share, segment share, channel mix & channel performance. Escalate where gaps are observed with insights and proposed actions to address the gap.
  • Assess and review market, customer needs, products and competition on a regular basis to identify New Product Development opportunities and Backbook Management opportunities, e.g. price / fee structure changes
  • Design new Business Banking products and propositions, i.e. features, product economics / pricing, target customers & customer experience
  • 1st line of defence for regulatory compliance from product design to implementation
  • Drive achievement of overall product economics at national level, including o Product Value (EV = multi-period, forward looking) o Product Profitability (EP = single-period, point-in-time backward looking)
  • Gain approval for new/ amended products in line with internal governance and relevant regulation
  • Gain approval for product fees, charges and interest rates for new and existing products.
  • Work with other areas of the business (e.g. Ops, IT, Credit) and 3rd party product providers to put in place critical enablers to support the product and delivery of product to the consumer
  • Lead implementation of new products, pricing and proposition including; execution of risk assessments, IT design & Build, all Operational Readiness
  • Lead the design and implementation of sales and operational processes with appropriate engagement from subject matter experts ,for new products
  • Lead implementation of new/updated regulatory requirements on the performing book
  • Lead and motivate a team, driving strong performance & talent management structures

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum educated to bachelor degree level or other related third level qualification. Post graduate degree qualification preferred
  • 5+ Years¿ Experience in Product Management in Financial Services specifically working in Business Banking/SME environment
  • Strong Understanding of Business Banking Market and Products
  • Proven success in consistently achieving targets or working to deadlines
  • Deep experience of the IT change process i.e. BRD, FS and UAT testing
  • Detailed knowledge of Regulatory and Legislative requirements pertaining to Business banking Product Development and Operations
  • Risk Management experience relating to the products development & monitoring environment
  • Experience in Process design, implementation and improvement is highly desirable
  • Excel, Visio and PowerPoint skills necessary

This is a permanent role based in PTSB head office St. Stephens Green. (Hybrid options available within the Republic of Ireland Only)
