Responsible for implementing the Council’s engagement with and support for new and existing businesses located within the Borough, as part of the Council’s current and future strategies and the Northern Ireland Entrepreneurship Support Service to achieve the strategic aims of fostering business growth, increasing business productivity and the creation of jobs in the local economy. 

Providing a support channel for businesses in the Borough through the management of a tailored referral service to the most appropriate supports available for businesses in Ards and North Down. 

Offer a full range of professional advice through the delivery of support Council programmes, initiatives and services including grants to assist businesses at varying stages of development, with a key focus on accelerating growth across all sectors.

  • There is 1 temporary post available until 31 March 2028, (may be extended) 
  • Based in Signal Centre of Business Excellence, Bangor 
  • A reserve list may be kept from this recruitment exercise 
  • Applicants must be available to work outside normal working hours including weekend and evening work, and to travel around and outside the Borough
