Business Development Executive

Broadline Recruiters are currently seeking an experienced Business Development Executive on behalf of a leading national and international logistics provider.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious sales professional with experience in business development, account management, logistics, transport, distribution, freight forwarding, or a similar industry.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across target markets and sectors.
• Generate new leads through prospecting, networking, referrals, market research, and direct outreach.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with new and existing clients.
• Arrange and attend client meetings to understand business needs and explore potential opportunities.
• Deliver against agreed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and revenue objectives.
• Ensure all customer information, sales activities, opportunities, and follow-ups are accurately recorded and maintained within CRM systems and company databases.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from new business development through to customer delivery.
• Maintain up-to-date information on prospects, clients, opportunities, and sales activity.
• Monitor the progress of business opportunities and provide regular updates to management.
• Support the development of long-term partnerships with key clients and business contacts.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ proven experience in sales and business development, preferably within transport, distribution, logistics, or freight forwarding.
• Proficiency in CRM Software
• Ability to understand and clearly articulate customer needs and issues.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal departments to develop effective customer solutions.
• Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated with strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Full, clean driving licence.
