Eir Business Development Managers (BDMs) play a crucial role in expanding the company's customer base, revenue streams, and overall market share. These individuals are vital for the growth and success of the Small Business Segment within eir in an increasingly competitive and dynamic industry, enhancing our purpose of ‘Connecting for a better Ireland’. This is an initial 6 month fixed Term Contract with the likelihood of being made permanent.

Key Responsibilities

  • New Business Development: Verify and look for new business prospects. Create and deliver an action plan that broadens the SMB clientele in eir.
  • Sales and Revenue Generation: Achieve and exceed Sales targets in relation to volume and quality performance measures, as set out by management. This involves developing and implementing sales plans, structured journey planning, face-to-face presentations and setting telephone appointments to maximise prospects
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with new clients to ensure customer satisfaction at point of sale. Act as a point of contact for clients, by delivering an exceptional customer experience and representing eir in a professional manner.
  • Competitor Analysis: Monitoring and analyzing the activities of competitors relating to all new and existing products and services.
  • Product and Service Development: Liaise with the different business stakeholders, such as our Training & Development team, to obtain up to date information on eir’s products and services to become an expert in any new offerings, product and procedural enhancements.
  • Data Capturing: Using our internal systems, capture the relevant data to determine sales performance, emerging market trends and abide by regulatory compliance.
  • Objection Handling: Managing objections is essential because it helps to overcome obstacles, develop relationships of trust, personalise solutions, and ultimately drive company growth through profitable collaborations and sales.

Knowledge/Experience/ Qualifications Requirements:

  • Sales and Business Development Experience: Prior door-to-door sales and/or business development expertise. Successful candidates should have a demonstrated history of closing agreements, hitting sales goals, and generating new business possibilities.
  • Communication and Presentation Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for effective client interactions, sales pitches, and presentations in a defined territory.
  • Target Driven: Strong focus on results and achieving set targets as set out by management daily, weekly & monthly.
  • Collaboration: The ideal candidate should be able to balance their strong self-drive with a collaborative mindset, as we believe that a combination of both is key to achieving exceptional results in our dynamic and innovative work environment. A teamwork-oriented individual able to share best practices and add to a positive team dynamic while working independently to deliver.

  • Full Irish or EU Driving Licence: The ability to drive allows the candidate to travel to various client locations, attend industry events, and conduct fieldwork as needed
  • Influencing and Persuasion: The ability to influence others in a positive and ethical manner is vital.
  • Self-Driven: The ideal applicant will be extremely self-driven, focused on their goals, and inspired by the challenge of generating revenue growth. The proactive pursuit of new business prospects, the development of solid customer relationships, and the routine achievement of remarkable outcomes will all be made possible by this appetite for sales.
