Role: Business Development & Marketing Executive, Monaghan Credit Union Ltd
Reporting To: Business Development Manager
Office Based Role: Full Time position – 36.25 Hours per week. The position is full-time Monday to Saturday with a day off during the week. Friday includes a late shift on alternative weeks, 9.00 am - 5.15 pm or 12.00 pm-8.15pm.
Location: The role will primarily be based in the Monaghan office but noting that the successful candidate will be flexible, working from either our Monaghan or Ballybay Offices as required.
Contract: Permanent Contract ( subject to completion of a successful probationary period).
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
The Role
Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the Business Development & Marketing Executive will be responsible for the efficient implementation of all marketing activities in line with Monaghan Credit Unions marketing strategy. This will involve market research, content creation (digital/print), managing social media, coordinating events, analysing campaign effectiveness to meet business goals. This position requires creativity, analytical skills, and strong communication for internal/external collaboration. It requires a dynamic, self-motivated individual with an entrepreneurial spirit, great enthusiasm for all things marketing and knowledge of relevant techniques and principles. The position provides the successful candidate with the opportunity to work in a progressive and professional Credit Union with assets of over €100 million and 25,000 members.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan to achieve membership growth, product awareness, and engagement targets.
- Increase loan growth in collaboration with the Loan department through appropriate marketing initiatives.
- Promotion and marketing of the Member Personal Current Account and Debit Card products/service.
- Create, manage, and optimise multi-channel marketing campaigns, including but not limited to digital, social media, print, website, events, and member communications.
- Collaborate with internal teams to promote new products, services, and initiatives.
- Conduct market research and analyse trends to identify opportunities for growth and member needs.
- Monitor and report to the Business Development Manager on the effectiveness of marketing efforts, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet objectives.
Public Relations & Communications:
- Develop and maintain relationships with local media, community organisations, and other key stakeholders.
- Prepare and distribute press releases, newsletters, and other communications to promote activities and achievements.
- Plan and execute PR events, sponsorships, and community outreach programs to enhance the credit union's visibility and reputation.
Branding & Content Creation:
- Ensure consistent application of the brand across all marketing and communication materials.
- Work with graphic designers and other professionals to produce high-quality marketing materials.
Member Engagement & Community Outreach:
- Develop and implement member engagement strategies.
- Coordinate community outreach efforts, including sponsorships and volunteer activities.
- Represent the credit union at community events to build relationships and promote products/ services and enhance Monaghan Credit Unions presence.
Budget Management:
- Assist in the development and management of the marketing budget.
- Monitor expenses to ensure activities are within budget and provide regular reports on financial performance related to marketing activities.
General:
Any other duties that may be required on a day-to-day basis as requested by the Business Development Manager.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Experience & proven track record in a Marketing role covering duties outlined.
- Honours degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Proven experience in Data analysis, reporting & building of Dashboards.
- Minimum competency requirements will apply to the role, with the selected candidate required to either have the minimum competency qualification or agree to work toward the completion of a minimum competency qualification required within the financial sector.
- Full drivers’ licence required.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of marketing principles, including digital marketing, content marketing, and brand management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear and engaging content.
- Proficient in using marketing software and tools to produce statistical and analytical reports.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives.
- Creative thinker with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external third parties.
- Knowledge of financial products and services is a plus.
