We are seeking a creative, highly motivated and innovative Business Insights Analyst to join our Business Insights & Analytics Team. We are looking for someone who can leverage key information from large scale data sets and communicate these imaginatively, coherently and effectively. The Analyst will be responsible for reporting the main business performance KPIs to a variety of audiences within the business; the development, generation and distribution of key analysis documentation, reports and dashboards; and the implementation of efficiency initiatives within the Team. They will act as a key contact person for other departments across the business, nationally and internationally. The Business Insights Analyst will report directly to the Head of Business Insights & Analytics.
What you'll do
- Undertake daily, weekly and monthly financial and numeric reporting tasks to provide performance updates, analysis and insights into a variety of business areas and initiatives.
- Prepare, sense check and issue reporting and analysis documentation as part of a standardised reporting schedule.
- Create and maintain reports using Google Workplace products and BI visualisation tools.
- Automate existing reporting and analysis practices across the wider business.
- Become an expert in our data, analysing all aspects of the company’s performance.
- Independent identification and interpretation of abnormalities, variances and trends in performance data.
- Analyse relevant business processes to identify and implement continuous and sustainable improvements.
- Quality assurance and control of data and systems.
- Undertake any necessary administrative tasks within the department.
- Contribute to and lead Business Insights projects.
- Support the annual financial planning process.
What you'll need
- Diploma or Degree qualified.
- 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role, with experience of routine financial or numeric reporting.
- Superior analytical skills, combined with impeccable business judgment and ability to communicate with senior management.
- Advanced Excel skills, e.g. PowerPivot; PowerQuery, task automation through VBA.
- Experience with BI tools, e.g. PowerBI, Microstrategy, Tableau.
- Ability to integrate into and work as part of a collaborative team.
- Proven ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment and to lead and drive complex operational initiatives.
- Highly numerate.
- Motivated / self-starter.
- Natural inquisitiveness and ability to identify innovation opportunities
- Experience with Month End numeric or financial reporting (Advantage).
- Foundational knowledge of data analytics ecosystems, with hands-on experience using SQL, Python, and Apps Script to solve business problems. (Advantage)
- Foundational knowledge of Google Workspace products (Sheets, Apps Script, Slides) (Advantage).
- SAP (Advantage).

- €52,500 rising to €67,000 after 3 years
