The Opportunity

Glanbia is currently seeking to recruit a Business Manager. This is a permanent opportunity and will report to the Commercial Lead

The base location of the role will be Waterside, Citywest with a blended working arrangement available through our Smart working model which allows you a greater choice in how you work and live, giving you a better work-life balance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and shape the Specialist, High Street & Convenience channels strategy for the Irish market.
  • Build and develop new and existing business within the Irish Specialist, High Street & Convenience channels.
  • Work with category management to ensure GPN is the go to supplier for customers to develop their H&W categories.
  • Build strong relationships with key industry contacts.
  • Build out, cost and appropriate promotional and support plans by customer.
  • Work with customer & trade marketing to develop appropriate marketing support plans.
  • Work with demand forecasting, finance, customer service to ensure both internal and external needs are met.
  • Work with our 3rd party field sales partner to ensure our Head office plans are executed brilliantly in store.

The Skills you will bring to the team

  • Minimum 3 years’ customer management experience including managing key customers Tesco, Dunnes, Musgraves, BWG, Discounters, H&B etc.
  • Experience managing a field sales team and/or managing a 3rd party field sales partner.
  • Ability to influence both cross functionally and at a senior level.
  • Self- starter, highly motivated and ambitious.
  • Ability to work to stretching targets in a dynamic industry.
  • Highly numerate.
  • Ability to plan effectively, but also think on their feet.
  • High energy, high creativity and good ability to problem solve.
  • Interest in sport or health and fitness a positive.
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent qualification.
