Join us as a Business Product Specialist - Unified Communications & MDM

This role will sit within the capability area of Core & Advanced Product Portfolio and is key to the delivery of Unified Communications & MDM products financial & strategic objectives. Working collaboratively with the Advanced product manager, this role is a critical part of the delivery of agreed KPIs for Unified Communications and Mobility (Mobile Device Management).

The role requires working on proposition and product development, delivery and post launch tracking and monitoring. Intra and cross department engagement, together with selected 3rd party vendors will also be a significant element to the role working collaboratively with SME and EPG sales, finance, CRM, PMO, Regulatory etc.

What else it involves

  •  Supporting Advanced product manager on product and proposition development & products from end to end (customer insight, proposition build, business case build, trials, GTM & launch, and evaluation)
  • Implement the product strategy and product plan with continued focus on enhancing the performance of our business products and services and growing business revenue streams.
  •  Proposition ownership post launch including success tracking including (KPIs such as penetration, AMPU, churn and product mix) manage sales feedback and management updates.
  • Work closely with insights team to develop insights understanding needs, behaviours and triggers required for proposition development.
  • Product marketing ownership and collaboration with business communications team & GTM lead to deliver proposition comms activities for Business.
  • Monitor and review competitive offerings, assess the potential customer / company impact, and support product manager with response strategies which differentiate from the competition. Identify market threats and take appropriate action to protect base and revenue.
  •  Track base and revenue performance working with the Product and Base Management teams, preparing remedial action plans where variances are identified to deliver base/revenue/churn targets for Unified Communications and MDM.
  •  Close collaboration with 3rd parties and key stakeholders such as Finance, IT, Legal & Reg, Networks & Data teams in Technology, Business Care, Technical Service Desk in Care to ensure engagement, support, and delivery for your product suite
  •  Meet sales teams monthly to understand market dynamics, respond to customer needs and competitive threats.Work closely with the business CVM team to ensure delivery of customer insight led communication offers that will stabilise or increase margin.
  • Ensure that all propositions developed are positively contributing to Customer Satisfaction targets in line with nearest competitor

Skills we're looking for

  • High Energy individual with a proven track record of operating in a dynamic, demanding & customer centric environment.
  •  Highly developed commercial acumen with the ability to understand how we can exploit the revenue stream
  • Proven strategic thinking, with the ability to effectively communicate through highly developed written and presentation skills
  • Ability to clearly demonstrate achievement of results in previous roles including the obstacles which were overcome.
  • Strategic awareness, ability and influencing skills to input and where appropriate shape both the medium- and longer-term strategy of the business.
  • Strong understanding of data analytics and problem-solving capability.
  • High-level understanding of Advanced Products and technology trends and how these relate to business usage and applications.
  • Ability to build networks, drive collaboration and develop cross functional co operation
  • Proven track record of working cross-functionally in a large organisation coupled with the flexibility to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to influence and mobilise others to undertake and continuously change for the better good of the business.
