About the Role:

There are now several opportunities to join Corporate Banking to assist with the continued expansion of the business activities and the management of the existing portfolio. We would very much like to hear from credit professionals with cash-flow lending experience and interested in working in a dynamic and fast paced business.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Be accountable for assisting with the end-to-end execution of transaction proposals including: transaction origination with senior team members, investment analysis, internal investment approval process and investment execution.
  • Perform commercial and credit analysis on potential opportunities, to include both qualitative and quantitative due diligence and appropriate financial analysis and stress testing.
  • Assist in the preparation of comprehensive credit applications for presentation to Credit Committee.
  • Participate in meetings & conference calls with customers and market participants to facilitate initial due diligence and on-going investment monitoring.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with internal business partners and external market participants.
  • Proactive and on-going portfolio monitoring including timely review of financial / performance reports, and market trends / research that may impact the portfolio.
  • Assist in the development and maintaining a culture of high performance, strong customer focus and compliance that is reflective of the AIB Behaviours.
  • Continue to play a key role in the management of the existing loan book and overall loan portfolio from a credit and risk perspective, ensuring that adherence to AIB policies, procedures and codes of best practice is appropriately monitored.

What you will bring:

  • Understand the lending process and the documentation of debt facilities and understanding of the process of reviewing and analysing the performance of a loan in line with the terms and conditions of the legal documentation/Loan Agreement. 
  • Credit assessment and credit management skills. Strong analytical skills together with an ability to think and act laterally and creatively.
  • Commitment to managing and maintaining a strong relationship with existing clients through the provision of a first-class quality customised service to a broad customer base.
  • An ability to work on own initiative and interact as part of a highly motivated team. Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Experience in learning AIB computer-based systems and a strong ability to use various AIB systems in the management, analysis and use of data/information.
