About the Role:

Our team is currently experiencing a period of rapid growth and in order to support this ambitious growth we are looking to recruit an Electrical CAD Technician to join our Urban Charging team. It is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to excel and with a unique opportunity to gain exposure and to interact with senior members of the leadership team on a regular basis. The successful candidate will be a confident individual with strong interpersonal skills and who can fit into their new environment seamlessly and adopt a hands-on approach to their role.

• Create detailed site layout drawings, electrical drawings, schematics, and diagrams using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Collaborate with all relevant stakeholders to translate their designs and concepts into technical drawings.
• Ensure that all drawings adhere to industry standards, regulations, and company guidelines.
• Update and maintain existing electrical drawings as needed.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input on the feasibility of drawings.
• Assist in documenting changes and revisions to electrical drawings.
• Organize and manage a library of electrical drawings and design files.
• Assist in the preparation of technical documentation and reports to include preparation of design packs for tender process.
• Support the electrical engineering team in solving design and layout challenges.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in CAD software and electrical design techniques.

Essential Skills, Experience and Educational Requirement:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer / Technician or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks etc.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design symbols, terminology, and industry standards.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and documentation.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with electrical components and systems.
• Continuous learning and a commitment to professional development.
