Details of Service The MMUH is a designated NCCP Cancer Centre currently preparing for OECI accreditation with our academic partner UCD. The MMUH cancer services are operationalised within the Cancer Directorate. The MMUH serves the north inner city and north Dublin cancer population with over 2000 patients diagnosed annually. The Mater Hospital has one of Ireland’s largest gynaecological oncology departments, treating cancers of the reproductive tract such as ovarian, endometrial, cervical, vulval, and vaginal cancers. The service includes advanced surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy, with personalized treatment plans developed by a multidisciplinary team. Surgical options range from minimally invasive laparoscopic or robotic surgery to major cytoreductive procedures for ovarian or recurrent cancers.
