You probably haven’t heard of Wanzl, but guaranteed you will have touched, seen and interacted with one of our products or services within the last few weeks. Nipped round the supermarket? Yep those trolleys and shelving are ours. Just got back from your holidays? Those vending and luggage trolley systems are ours. If gardening is your thing, then you will have come across us in B&Q. Wear glasses? Then you will have seen our display units in Specsavers. The teams collecting trolleys in Ikea or Tesco, they work with us. We have a customer list to die for but we want to do more, we want to grow, to innovate, to push into new markets.

Wanzl are big. We were founded in Germany by the Wanzl family and they still own the business. Turning over nearly €900m with 4500 people across the globe, we are market leaders. In the UK & Ireland, we now turnover circa £121m with over 750 people on the team.

As part of the Wanzl Car Park Management Team you will be required to oversee the collection of abandoned trolleys and ensure that they are quickly returned to customer pick-up points in a good clean condition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure optimum car park efficiency by ensuring the timely retrieval of trolleys and returning them to the customer pick up points.
  • Onsite cleaning duties, ensuring the trolleys are always in a clean and presentable condition and free of litter.
  • Responsible for ensuring you abide by the safe working procedures of a trolley operative
  • Dealing with customers including customer complaints, customer services and customer facing duties; referring this to your direct line manager.
  • Loading the trolley collection vehicle, drive it from the car park around to the front of the store, unload the vehicle, and put away the trollies.
  • Drive a tug and trailer for trolley collections

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Full Irish Driving License Essential
  • Must be trustworthy, reliable and punctual
  • Must have excellent communication skills and able to work as part of a team
  • This role involves weekend work therefore you must be available for weekend shifts
  • This is a manual role and requires an element of physical fitness
