About the Role
We are seeking compassionate and enthusiastic Care Assistants to join our teams across 3 respite services. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children and adults with disabilities, ensuring their comfort, safety and well-being while promoting their independence and dignity.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality person-centred care to children and adults using our services, supporting their physical, emotional and social needs.
- Assist with daily living activities.
- Engage children and adults in recreational and social activities.
- Foster a warm and supportive environment for children and adults, their families and colleagues.
- Ensure adherence to safeguarding policies and promote the safety and welfare of all children and adults using our services.
- Work collaboratively with the team to implement individual support plans and provide consistent support.
Requirements:
Applicants on the closing date for the competition must:
- Possess minimum FETAC / QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support, QQI Level 5 in Childcare, QQI Level 5 SNA or equivalent (Major Award).
- A genuine passion for caring for children and adults with disabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility and a team-oriented approach to work.
- Relevant experience in a care setting is desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided.
- A full clean driver’s licence is essential.
