JOB PURPOSE
The Summer Activity Scheme aims to provide inclusive physical activities for young people with disabilities between the ages of 7-17 years in the Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council area. Through this Scheme, the young people will be introduced to different forms of physical activity which will breakdown existing barriers to their participation and enhance their active lifestyles, health and confidence.
The post holders will be required to assist with the co-ordination and organisation of the programme of activities and care for the young people attending the Scheme. This will include attending to the young people’s personal needs and ensuring their safety and wellbeing whilst adhering to Council policies and procedures.

Training (16th July 2025 – 18th July 2025 inclusive):
Wednesday – Friday 9.00 am – 4.00 pm (including 30 minutes unpaid break)
Planning time:
10 hours planning time will be required before the Scheme commences and once finished. Additional hours as required.
Scheme weeks (21st July 2025 – 8th August 2025 inclusive, excluding Saturdays and Sundays):
Monday – Friday 9.30 am – 3.30 pm plus additional hours as required.
Applicants must be available for the entire duration of the training and the Scheme as outlined above.
