Caretaker/Maintenance Person

Job description:

Be available to welcome all users and groups to the centre and maintain a presence at the centre while occupied by various users/groups.

Maintain diary of activities in the centre and record all significant events.

Obtain evidence of insurances from users/groups where necessary.

Answer mobile phone enquiries about availability of facilities for various uses, and take bookings as necessary.

Open and close the community complex before and after activities.

Preparation for various activities, and support during the course of the activity.

Receive payments for hall rental, issue receipts for same and account for all amounts received to hall treasurer.

Be aware of Health and Safety issues in relation to the use of the facility.

Be familiar with the Company Safety Statement and implement actions to minimise risks to self and third parties.

General cleaning and maintenance of the centre including toilets and kitchen.

Segregation of waste material and recycling where possible.

Repainting and redecoration of the building, inside and out as required.

General cleaning and maintenance of the car parking area and surrounds, and of the entrance roadway.

Grass cutting and decorative planting of shrubs and flowers in the vicinity of the centre and entrance roadway. Maintenance and watering of these as required.

Monitoring and maintenance of Waste Water Treatment System and Percolation Area.

Regular sweeping and maintenance of the synthetic surface in the playing pitch.

Monitor usage of the synthetic pitch and be available to support weekend usage.

Carry out any other instructions of the Company as required.

Support usage of proposed handball/Racquetball court.

Complete regular stock take as determined by the Company.
