We are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Porter to join our team based at South East Technology University, Carlow. This is a great opportunity to join a world leading facilities management company.
Working Pattern:
- 15 hours per week
- 4 out of 7 days with shifts between 07:00am - 19:00pm

Role:
- Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs where required
- Recording water temperatures and running of water for legionella recording
- Reporting Maintenance issues, damage, hazards,or faults to appropriate Manager
- Assisting staff and contracters with general tasks
- Taking meter readings on weekly basis for estates department
- Checl lighting, doors, fixtures ,fittings and other facilities and report issues
- Dispose of rubbish and recycling safetly and appropriately.
- Locking and opening , and alarming buildings when required (training will be provided)
- Follow all health and safety procedures and report hazards promptly
- Covering portering annual leave and sick leave where required
- Previous experience in maintannce, portering is an advantage
The Person:
- Self-motivated, working independently and on own initiative
- Flexible with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Good time-management skills
- Attention to detail in all aspects of the work.

- Enthusiastic about our customer service and reputation.
- Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work, instructions and communicating with customer on a day-today basis.
