Caretaker

We are currently recruiting for a Caretaker to join our PPP CNU contract in Clonmel on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be subject to Garda Vetting whilst flexibility will be required for working shifts to cover Monday to Sunday 8am-8pm, including weekends.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the Facilities Site Lead in promoting a culture of excellent customer service and establish excellent working relationships with the client
  • Assist the Facilities Site Lead in reviewing existing services, specifications, processes, productivity levels and quality control to secure and increase the efficient use of resources
  • Adhere to client requests in a timely manner with strong customer focus via the maintenance management system
  • Manage Subcontractors on site and adhere to company contractor management guidelines to include but not limited to the SWP (Safe Work Plan)
  • Ability to be proactive and identify building faults by applying immediate fix or ensure safe conditions and contact the appropriate contractor
  • Flexibility in working shifts with potential for late closing or early opening depending on client requirements
  • Ensure that all health and safety legislation and company policy is adhered to, within own level of responsibility (to include undertaking role of Fire Warden and/or First Aider as required)
  • Assist the Facilities Site Lead in undertaking regular site and service inspection tours and identifying areas on non-adhered to quality standards as appropriate
  • Positively contribute to the performance of the business and build strong local relationships with the client and internal teams
  • Adhere to the Company Health & Safety rules and regulations when on site

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE

  • Experienced Caretaker with experience in multiple workstreams
  • Safe Pass, Manual Handling
  • Adhere to Garda Vetting process
  • Proficient and comfortable using IT software
  • Proven health & safety awareness with a thorough understanding of quality systems
  • Capable of prioritising tasks and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail with regards to level of output and quality
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Exposure to Facilities Management and or Engineering/Construction environments ideal
  • Proven experience in a similar role
