Casual Assistant Community Safety Warden

JOB PURPOSE:
The postholder will work within the Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP) team which aims to tackle and prevent fear of crime, crime and anti-social behaviour.
The core objectives of PCSP are to support actions which:

•Reduce fear of crime and actual crime;
•Prevent and reduce anti-social behaviour
•Liaise with community representatives and Neighbourhood Watch Coordinators;
•Work on a multi-agency partnership basis with key stakeholders to include PSNI, NIHE, Education Authority, Youth Justice Agency, NIFRS, NI Probation Board and Southern Health and Social Care Trust;
•Provide information, intervention and preventative programmes.

The main objectives of the Armagh City Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council PCSP Action Plan are to:

• Successfully deliver the functions of PCSP for the area;
• Improve community safety by tackling actual and perceived crime and anti-social behaviour;
• Support community confidence in policing.
