We are currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant/Barista to join our team based at our IADT, Dun Laoghaire site. This is a great opportunity to join a world leading facilities management company.

Working Pattern:

• 32.5 hours per week
• Monday – Saturday
• 8am – 4:30pm

The Role:

• Assist in the preparation, service and sales of all food and beverages for the unit
• Work as part of the team to ensure service is delivered on time and to a consistently high standard
• Working as part of a team, you will provide an efficient and friendly service to customers
• Carry out all cleaning duties as per instruction from line manager or per unit cleaning rota
• Ensure kitchen and service areas are always clean and tidy and assist with waste removal.
• Clear and wash dishes in the dining area
• Clear rooms of any trays, flasks, following the provision of hospitality
• Be responsible for cash handling duties under your control
• Assist, when required, with the moving and setting up of furniture for catering purposes in designated areas.
• A close working relationship with the team is important to these roles.
• Prepares and serves coffee/ tea and other beverages, operating coffee equipment
• Report defective equipment/ utensils/ work and floor surfaces or any other Health and Safety issues

The Person 

• EU/EEA work visa
• Full clean driving licence and access to own transport is essential. 
• Attention to detail in all aspects of the work. 
• Leads by example and lives our values.
• Enthusiastic and passionate about our customer service
• Self-motivated, working independently and on own initiative.
• Flexible with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Basic food hygiene certificate
• Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work, instructions and communicating with customer on a day-today basis
