We are currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant to join our team based at IADT – Dun Laoghaire This is a great opportunity to join a world leading facilities management company.
Role: Catering Assistant
Location: Institute of Art, Design and Technology Dun Laoghaire
Working Pattern:
- 30 Hours per Week/ € 13.50 ph/ Term-Time contract
- Mon- Fri
- Between 7am to 7pm, might include Saturdays
- Immediate start
- 30 Paid Holidays pro rata

- General Kitchen Duties including kitchen porter duties
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness at all times.
- Maintaining counters and serving customers
- Ensuring that areas of work are kept to a high standard of cleanliness throughout the day
- Completing production, wastage, temperature and cleaning records.
- Complying with all company and legal procedures relating to food safety, hygiene, health and safety and personal requirements
- Operating a till and cash handling duties
The person:
- Level 2 CIEH in food hygiene.
- Experience working in a similar role
- Flexible and adaptable approach
- Good communication skills – written and verbal
- The ability to demonstrate great team work skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work instructions and communicating with customers on a day-to-day basis.
