Cemetery Supervisor

A permanent vacancy currently exists within Mid and East Antrim Borough Council for the following post and applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates:-

Cemetery Supervisor (East Antrim)
37 hours per week
Scale S02, SCP 28-30, salary £37,938 -£39,513
Location: The location of this post will be within the East Antrim Area but requirements of the post may result in the postholder having to work in locations across the Borough.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

• The post holder will be responsible for the supervision of the Cemetery team to ensure the implementation of safe and efficient procedures and to maintain a high standard of service and successful operational delivery.
• The post holder will be responsible for ensuring a dignified and sensitive customer focused approach with funeral directors, clergy, the bereaved and all other stakeholders to the cemeteries at all times. 
• The post holder will assist with the cemetery administration and be responsible for the procurement and efficient use of resources including machinery and materials in order to ensure efficient and effective results at all times.
