Central Decontamination Unit Deputy And Quality Manager
Purpose of the Role
The Deputy CDU Manager is responsible for assisting and supporting the CDU Manager in the management of decontamination processes and structures for Reusable Invasive Medical Devices (RIMD) in CDU and EDU in CHI at Temple Street in line with International best practice and deputise for the CDU Manager in his/her absence.
The Deputy CDU Manager will also have the role of Quality Manager.
The Quality Manager establishes, implements, and maintains the ISO 13485 QMS to ensure it is effective and compliant with medical device quality standards.
The Quality Manager is an integral part of the overall management team and, within its structure, will oversee the management, implementation, development and co-ordination of quality process and documentation within the CDU.
Essential Criteria:
- A relevant scientific qualification (e.g.Degree in Sterile Services Management or similar)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in CDU at supervisory level or above in the past 5 years
- Technical understanding of all aspects of validation process.
- Understanding of a Quality Management System – ISO 13485
